Joel Hawkins

Development & Investment

Joel has been a property developer for over 30 years. He started his career in agency at Knight Frank working in both the residential and commercial sectors, before moving to the Howard de Walden Estate to help build its new development arm, Welbeck Land.

Joel founded Bell Hammer in 2000 and has led the company in establishing itself as a trusted and experienced partner for investors seeking development opportunities.

Patrick Davis

Development 

Patrick has been a commercial property developer 
for over 25 years. After starting his career at 
Cluttons working in commercial agency, he moved 
to Taylor Woodrow and then Arlington Securities’ 
to work in development.

Patrick joined Bell Hammer in 2006 and has led various development projects from inception to completion across the UK, for a wide range of institutional clients. He has been responsible for a number of award-winning and market-leading workplace schemes in Bristol, Reading and London.

Robert Howe

Investment & Asset Management 

Robert was previously Head of European Real Estate at Arrow Capital Partners, where he coordinated growth of the logistics portfolio from €100M to over €2Bn. Assets included both investments and speculative development in the UK and on the European mainland.

With over 30 years track record in commercial real estate, Robert has a wealth of experience spanning sectors, geographies, investment and development opportunities. His tenures have also included directorships at Valad Europe and Green Property Plc.

Colin Hall

Development

Colin has worked in real estate for over 30 years. 
His experience is across consultancy, institutional client and private property company roles, including 
16 years as a senior developer with Standard Life/abrdn. Most recently Colin has spent 6 years as Head of Development Management for ESR Europe.

Colin has broad multi-sector experience 
delivering high profile office, industrial, hotel and residential developments across the UK and other European markets.

John Humberstone

Investment & Strategy 

John has worked in the real estate industry for 35 years including 12 years in real estate banking. His experience spans debt provision, corporate finance, direct investment and investment management.

He has held senior positions at GE Real Estate, Brookfield Asset Management and more recently was a partner at Orchard Street Investment Management where he was instrumental in growing AUM from £1.5bn to a peak of over £6bn.
