Planning consent secured for Guildford logistics scheme

6th July 2026

Aviva Investors and Bell Hammer have been granted planning consent for their 181,000 sq ft urban logistics scheme on a seven-acre site in Guildford.

Located on Slyfield Industrial Estate, the development will comprise eight units ranging from 11,000 – 51,000 sq ft and has a projected end value of approximately £75m.

Ben Littman, Head of Development at Aviva Investors, said: “We are pleased to receive consent on this project in Guildford that continues our ability to construct modern, high-quality industrial and logistics assets for our portfolio. This maximises our ability to create tailored facilities that can meet the needs of companies today and into the future, while also delivering investment outcomes for investors.”

Colin Hall, Development Executive at Bell Hammer commented, “Slyfield with its diversified business ecosystem is one of Surrey’s most important industrial areas and has been popular with occupiers and investors for over 50 years. Our development will ensure the Estate continues to offer high quality accommodation to tenants in an otherwise severely restricted market.”

Guildford is the latest location for an urban logistics joint development by Aviva Investors and Bell Hammer, with Catalyst Industrial Park having recently completed in Birmingham and other projects on site in Manchester, Luton and south west London.
